Dr. Litwak is a passionate optometrist with a strong focus on glaucoma care. A UNCW alumna, she earned her B.S. in Marine Biology before obtaining her Doctor of Optometry degree from the University of Houston College of Optometry, graduating summa cum laude with honors.
Driven by her commitment to clinical excellence, Dr. Litwak completed a residency in ocular disease with an emphasis on glaucoma at Aran Eye Associates in Miami, Florida. During her residency, she trained closely with ophthalmologists to advance her knowledge, enabling her to provide the highest level of care for her patients.
After residency, Dr. Litwak practiced in an ophthalmology/optometry setting in Raleigh, North Carolina, before ultimately returning to the coast. She continues to stay active in her profession by lecturing at continuing education courses for fellow optometrists and serving as a grader for the North Carolina Optometry Licensing Board.
Optometry runs in the family—Dr. Litwak shares her passion for eye care with both of her parents, sister, and significant other, all of whom are also optometrists.
Outside the clinic, Dr. Litwak is an avid scuba diver and underwater photographer. Keep an eye out for her photos in the office!
